Our daily afternoon and evening sessions are attended by over 200 young people every week making our academy a home for young people of all ages to exercise, train in the skills of boxing, socialise with friends and enjoy a safe and nurturing environment under the supervision of qualified and DBS cleared coaches and trainers.
Many of the young people who train with us do so free of charge as coming from low income families as we believe in being an inclusive academy where every young person should have the opportunity to "take part", many also go on and progress to boxing at an amateur level including at home shows and national tournaments at which we have a great deal of success.
In addition to these sessions we also work with young people referred to us by local schools and pupil referral units, youth organisations and young people referred or within the youth justice system often referred because of their vulnerability, living in low income families, as early interventions or finding school life a challenge.
These sessions are often run and supervised alongside our amateur and professional training sessions where the young people can safely watch the boxers train and spar in the main ring and develop positive role model relationships.
Working with our coaches and trainers in bespoken sessions we offer an alternative and engaging program of boxing training, exercise, healthy eating and nutrition as well as educational opportunities including ADSAC England Boxing Awards and AQA qualifications.
Our BIG BOXING MOVE will widen these opportunities increasig our capacity with a bespoken educational suite with mentoring and life coaching sessions.
